Dr Riaan Engelbrecht is a seasoned newspaper editor, sub-editor, and journalist, serving in the media industry since 1995. He is also a pastor and the co-founder of Avishua Ministries in South Africa. He is the Dean of Studies at Ignite Bible College. He has a deep passion to teach and to share knowledge and wisdom. He is the author of more than 150 non-fiction Christian books, focusing on discipleship in general, having written his first book in 2002. Daily, he endeavours to put pen to paper, for indeed the pen is mightier than the sword in his pursuit of helping others find a sense of peace, joy, love, and belonging in a world of so many upheavals and challenges. The Digital Babylon brings that examination into the modern age, exploring how technology, entertainment, media, social platforms, and digital culture can become instruments through which values and ideologies are shaped.

 

Finally, The Architecture of the Unseen War looks beneath the surface of spiritual conflict, examining the structures, strategies, patterns, and battlefields involved in the unseen realm.

 

These books are not simply written to inform—they are written to awaken discernment. Their central message is a call to recognise the times, understand the battle, stand firmly upon the Word of God, and refuse to be spiritually asleep in a generation filled with competing voices. The ultimate purpose is not to glorify darkness, but to expose deception so that the light of Christ may shine more brightly.
