Take heart, YAHWEH is victorious

In such dark times of storms, peril, strife, terror and horror, we can rejoice that the final victory belongs to God. In Psalm 110, we read: 1 The Lord says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” 2 The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!” 3 Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb. 4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” 5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath. 6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth. 7 He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.

Psalm 110 speaks of Jesus sitting at the right hand of God. This is confirmed in Revelation 3:21, Matthew 22:44, and Acts 2:33. It signifies His exaltation, authority, and ongoing role as intercessor for humanity. It's a position of honor and power, indicating the completion of His earthly mission and His continuing reign in heaven. Glory to God, unto Christ belongs all authority and dominion. Take note, the lifting of the head following a moment of refreshing symbolises victory, triumph, and restored confidence after overcoming challenges.

In ancient times, the king’s assent to his throne was made possible by his footstool. The footstool was a small bench that he would step up on to get to his place of honor. He might even rest his feet on this footstool once he had arrived at his place of prominence. Just so, Jesus treats His enemies as His footstool, for He HAS already ascended to be at the right hand of God. Soon, all enemies will be vanquished, and God’s reign will be eternal and glorious. Revelation 11 declares: “15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!”

Glory to God, we serve an all-conquering King! He is Glorious. He is YAH (YAHWEH) – the Mighty One, the God of War, and none can stand against Him. HalleluJAH, praise the Lord. The Apostle Paul writes of Jesus Christ in Ephesians. "And what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us, the ones believing according to the working of His mighty strength which He worked in Christ in raising Him from the dead, and He seated Him at His right hand in the heavenlies, far above all principality and authority and power and dominion, and every name being named, not only in this world, but also in the coming age" (Ephesians 1:19-21).

The term "God’s right hand" in prophecy refers to the Messiah, to whom is given the power and authority to subdue His enemies (Psalm 110:1; Psalm 118:16). The fact that Jesus Christ is at the "right hand of God" was a sign to the disciples that Jesus had indeed gone to heaven. In John 16:7-15, Jesus told the disciples that He had to go away and He would send the Holy Spirit. So the coming of the Holy Spirit in the upper room on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-13) was proof positive that Jesus was indeed in heaven, seated at the right hand of God. This is confirmed in Romans 8:34, where the Apostle Paul writes that Christ is sitting at God’s right hand making intercession for us.

The fact that Christ is "sitting" refers to the fact that His work of redemption is done, and when the fullness of the Gentiles is brought in (Romans 11:25), Christ’s enemies will be made His footstool. When the end of the age comes, all prophecy will be completed, and time will be no more. We see the fulfilment of prophecy as mentioned in Psalm 110 in Zachariah 14, Joel 3 and Revelation 19:11-16 (Christ on a white horse). Christ is comin,g and His enemies will be placed at His feet! Glory to God, all the kingdoms on earth will belong to God. Rejoice, for our God is great!

The question is, do we ride with Christ or in this day of so much evil and darkness, do we resist His rule and reign? Glory to God, there is an army arising in the earth whose eyes are upon Jesus. A warring tribe who not do fear man of beast or any abomination, but who seek the glory of God. They are willing to lay down their lives and are willing to be poured out for the harvest to be taken.

Zachariah 13 says: “9 I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested. They will call on My name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘This is My people’; and each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.’ ” Indeed, are we willing to lay it all down? Are we willing to be refined and be a pure vessel through which God can move?

Revelation 12 says, ”11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death”. Death is the believer's ultimate victory. Paul explained that to be "away from the body" is to be "at home with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:8). When facing the possibility of martyrdom, he confessed, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21).

Down through the centuries, the “great dragon” Satan has despised the mercy, love, grace, and forgiveness that God pours out on believers in Jesus Christ. With relentless, evil determination, the devil hounds us, fixated on destroying our walk with God and chasing us back into a spiritual prison. But, day by day, night by night, believers always overcome him “by the blood of the Lamb” (Revelation 12:11). Satan’s tireless goal in the life of every Christian is to prevent, disrupt, and cut off his or her relationship with God. He “prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). But the devil’s only real power over believers is to throw our sins and transgressions in our faces. He is the accuser. Thankfully, the sacrifice of Christ has effectively dealt with the problem. It is the blood of Jesus Christ—the blood of the Lamb—that redeems people, setting them free from slavery to sin and Satan’s control.

Glory to God, let us do the work of the Master, and be poured out as an offering for the harvest. We can take heart and rejoice, for we serve a mighty and glorious King. Unto the Lord belongs the battle. By His voice the cedar breaks (Psalm 29:5). We serve a God of immense power and authority. Indeed, the cedar, a strong and resilient tree, bows before the destruction by God's voice. All kings, empires, rulers, scholars and the worldly wise will be humbled and brought down low before the mighty King. All forces bow before YAH, for there is none like Him!

Psalm 50: 1 The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets. 2 From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth. 3 Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages. 4 He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people: 5 “Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” 6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice. 22 “Consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you: 23 Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me, and to the blameless[d] I will show my salvation.”

May we sing the song of O Jah, for let our God arise in such dark times to bring victory to His children! May the banner of the Lord be flown across the world, for unto Him belongs all victory and hope!

O Yah, O Yah let God arise, O Yah, O Yah let God arise, Let His enemies scatter, Let them flee from before Him, As smoke is driven away, So drive them away, extol Him that rideth upon the heavens, By His name YAHWEH, let's rejoice before Him.
